Tank filling and tank sloshing

Two examples of numerical calculations with free surface flow: Our first film shows the filling process of a tank with a viscous medium. The medium flows into a tank via a nozzle and is sucked out again at another point via an outlet.

In the second film, the partially filled tank undergoes a brief acceleration movement. Occurring forces, e.g. on fixtures or walls, can be determined at freely definable monitor points. The appearance, number and position of the fixtures can be changed at will. By such calculations optimal configurations can be found very fast to reduce the unwanted sloshing of the medium.
